BfA Pet Battles: Unbreakable

The pet battle is located in The Wailing Tideway, Tiragarde Sound (88:80) and defeating him is part of the achievement Battle on Zandalar and Kul Tiras.
In this fight you need to defeat Chitara.  Chitara is a beast pet with a buff called Unbreakable Shell. With this buff Chitara's shell grows more brittle every time it takes damage.  Damage taken is reduced by 100% until 5 attacks are made against it.  Chitara is good against critter and poor against flying.

The team I used for this is:
          Ikky (1,1,1)
          Clockwork Gnome (1,2,1)
          Olive Tail Hare (2,2,2)

Battle: Start with Ikky and use (2) Black Claw and then (3) Flock before swapping to the Clockwork Gnome.  Use (3) Build Turret on cooldown and (1) Metal Fist as filler until the gnome is dead. Switch back to Ikky and use (3) Flock until Chitara is dead.  The Third pet was not needed.

After checking chat many people defeated this pet battle using a three moth technique with Moth Balls as the soul attack. Anything with a multi attack like Flock, Moth Balls and Flurry will dispatch the shell quite quickly and after that Chitara has fairly low health.

Uuna's Story: Part #1 - Finding Uuna

This story starts with a scroll, Call of the Devourer.  This scroll drops from Antoran Defenders and Tormented Ritualists in the Scavenger's Boneyard in Antoran Wastes, Argus.
"Build an effigy of bone.  Bone from the imps, bone from the fiends, bone from the ur'zul.  Only then can the Many-Faced Devourer be summoned."

To build the effigy you must collect three bones that are located in Antoran Wastes, Argus.  The bones are not drops they are just lying on the ground but you must have the scroll in your bag in order to see them.
Fiend Bone
1- Bone from the Fiends (Fiend Bone) - this bone looks like a leg bone it is located in the Scavenger's Boneyard (52, 35) *1
Imp Bone
2- Bone from the Imps (Imp Bone) - this bone looks like an arm bone and is located in the imp cave (entrance 65, 26). Enter the cave past the first Ancient Brood Mother and go right, follow the cave and up the ramp to the second Ancient Brood Mother.  The bone is in this chamber to the right as you face her. *3
Ur'zul Bone
3- Bone from the Ur'zul (Ur'zul Bone) - this bone is located on the ground next to the alter in Collector's Hovel (50, 56). It looks like a large rib bone. *2

After collecting the bones, combine them to create the effigy and you are ready to summon the Many-Faced Devourer.  You must summon it at the pile of bones in the Scavenger's Boneyard (54:39) *4.  The Many-Faced Devourer has a chance to drop Uuna's Doll.

The doll is not 100% drop but once you have created the effigy you can summon the Many-Faced Devourer by returning to the pile of bones to try again the next day.  It only took me two kills to get Uuna's Doll I do not think it is a low drop rate.
Uuna's Doll will teach you the battle pet Uuna and then you can continue her story.

To be continued... (Uuna's Story: Part #2)

Pirate Day 2018

September 19th 2018 is International Talk Like a Pirate Day and this is reflected in Azeroth with a Pirate Day celebration in Booty Bay.   2018 didn't see any new content for pirate day which seems like a missed opportunity with all the pirate gear, check out my current get up (below), and quests about, particularly in Tiragarde Sound.

So what can you get from Pirate Day, if you don't have it already?  First travel down to Booty Bay to share a drink with Dread Captain DeMeza.  This will give you a temporary pirate outfit and the achievement The Captain's Booty.

Dread Captain DeMeza also has a quest You're Gonna Need a Bigger Boat! - collect 33 Razor-Sharp Shark teeth.  The sharks are swimming in Booty Bay you just need to beat the opposite faction to the pull.  This quest rewards 5x Emergency Pirate Outfit, which makes you an honorary member of Dread Captain DeMeza's crew.

There is also a rare shark, Ol'Eary, who spawns in the bay every 30 minutes.  Killing him has a chance to drop the toy Slightly-Chewed Insult Book which insults people like a pirate.  Here are a couple of the insults.
"Yer ship has more holes than a sponge, ye slack-jawed cockroach!"
"Ye don' need a sword.  Yer face be deadlier!  Garr!"

Also during Pirate Day, if you have the Feat of Strength Avast Ye, Admiral! you can go to Wild Shore in The Cape of Stranglethorn and buy a Jolly Roger flag (toy) from Edward Techt.  Unfortunately I do not have that feat of strength :(  Something to work on for next year.

All in all Pirate Day is a bit of fun and hopefully next year they will add something new.  Aaaarrrrrrrrr!

Commander of Argus #1 (Antoran Wastes)

I have finally completed the achievement Commander of Argus - complete the following special encounters on Argus
There are 60 rare-elites to find and kill.  Some of them drop special items like mounts, toys and pets. Most of the elites are rare spawns for normal world quests, but there are also a few more complicated ones requiring collecting things or a group.  Here is a list of the elites from Antoran Wastes and the other items you can collect from them.
Crimson Slavermaw, dropped by Blistermaw
Antoran Wastes
   Admiral Rel'var
   All-Seer Xanarian
   Blistermaw - Crimson Slavermaw (mount)

   Gar'zoth
Houndmaster Kerrax - Vile Fiend (mount)

Squadron Commander Vishax - S.F.E Interceptor (toy) *4
   The Many-Faced Devourer - Uuna's Doll (item) *5
   Varga - Fel Spotted Egg
   Ven'orn
   Void Warden Valsuran
   Vrax'thul - Biletooth Gnasher (mount)
   Watcher Aival
   Worldsplitter Skuul
   Wrath-Lord Yarez - Micro-Artillery Controller (toy)

*1 Doomcaster Suprax

This rare is located in the north of Antoran Wastes at the Alter of Darkest Rites (58:12).  There is a large purple rune on the ground and three runes surrounding it.  To summon him three players must stand on the runes.  There have been reports that sometimes it is bugged and if you mount up you can run over all three runes fast enough to summon him, though this did not work for me.  Also some people have had luck using a battle pet on a sledge on one rune and hunter or warlock pets are supposed to work too.  Once summoned just kill him quickly using the Warframe.  He has a chance to drop the toy Legion Communication Orb (allows you to see far into the distance and grants the ability to summon beacons there to attract Legion forces).
UPDATE: after the launch of BfA it seems you can now solo summon this boss, I did it twice running over only 1 rune and dropped the toy on my second try so very happy :)

*2 Mother Rosula
This rare is located in the imp cave in the north of Antoran Wastes (entrance 65:26).  Collect 100 Imp Meat from Felspawn Imps and make a Disgusting Feast.  Use the Disgusting Feast in the cave and place it near the fish bones and her fel pool to summon her.  She can drop both a mount, Biletooth Gnasher, and a pet, Rebellious Imp.

*3 Rezira the Seer
You can reach this rare using the Observer's Locus Resonator which creates a portal to the  balcony where he resides.  This can be purchased by completing the quest Yet More Intact Demon Eyes using 500 Intact Demon Eyes (see post: Intact Demon Eyes).  He drops the toy, Sightless Eye (makes you very difficult to detect for 10 min)

*4 Squadron Commander Vishax
Squadron Commander Vishax
You must combine a smashed portal generator with a conductive sheath, an arc circuit and a power cell to repair it and gain access to Vishax.  First go to Terminus to the south of Antoran Wastes.  The smashed portal generator is looted from Immortal Netherwalkers, once you have this you can loot the other three items from Eredar War-Minds and Felsworn Myrmidon.
Click on the smashed portal generator to repair it.  This will launch a quest Commander on Deck! - use Vishax's portal.
The portal is located on the docking station for the large Legion ship (77:74).  Go onto the docking station and turn right, at the end you will see the stand to summon the portal. Once through the portal you will find Vishax, he can drop the S.F.E. Interceptor toy.
S.F.E Interceptor toy
*5 The Many-Faced Devourer
To summon him first you need to loot the Call of the Devourer scroll from mobs in the Scavenger's Boneyard. Then you must collect three bones.  Place the bones on the bone pile (54:39) in the Scavenger's Boneyard to summon him.  He has a chance to drop Uuna's Doll, an item which summons Uuna's ghost and starts the quest line to get the pet, Uuna
(See post: Uuna's Story: Part #1 - finding Uuna)

See upcoming post... (Commander of Argus #2 and #3)
