Its Here: Legion has begun

Legion launched at 11pm GMT on 29th August in the UK which was a surprise to me, and many other people I know, because we thought it was going to launch on the 30th and maybe even 31st for us.  This was cool though and here it is.
I have decided to go with my blood DK, which for a long while has been my main character, as the first one I level up.  I have been toying with whether I wanted to play blood DK in legion as I don’t really want to raid tank again at the moment but I think I’m going to go with it anyway as the best class for the last few expansions, at least for me, to level up in.

First thing you get when you log in is Khadgar’s Upgraded Servant offering you a new quest.
Q – In the Blink of an Eye – Take the portal to Dalaran over Karazhan, witness the teleportation of Dalaran to the Broken Shores.  This quest rewards a new Dalaran Hearthstone and 5x Tome of the Tranquil Mind (which allow you to adjust talents while not in combat).

The portal in in the Cleft of Shadows in Orgrimmar.  Then speak to Khadgar in the new central tower of Dalaran to watch the teleportation (cut scene)

Dalaran has arrived!

Three More Pre-Patch Toys

These three are not new toys but if you missed these toys in patch 5.3, which I think was the Pandaria pre-patch, they are now available to buy from Ravika, the Darkspear Quartermaster just near The Dranosh’ar Blockade.
The 3 toys are:
Xan’tish’s Flute – which calls snakes to follow you.
Sen’jin Spirit Drum – Summons a set of three drums anyone can play.
Whole Body Shrinka’ – Head-Shrinking is for amateurs. Shrink your whole body.
As you can see above Ravika also sells Griftah’s Authentic Troll Shoes which can be transmogged into any armor type and give you bare feet.

Legion Pre-Patch - Its here

So the Legion Pre-patch launched last week, 20th June and it is amazing to see so many people about.  The pre-patch contained the launch of the much anticipated wardrobe, change to the PVP system and massive spec changes to all classes.  When I first logged in on all my characters almost all the spells from their bars had gone.  Some of the ones I was used to were no longer available in that spec.  Blizzard has made these changes to try and make each class and spec feel different and my first impressions are that it looks good, although it is taking a little while to get used to some of the changes.

With the pre-patch we also have a very annoying Feat of Strength Achievement It All Makes Sense Now.
Since launch of pre-patch Doomsayers have spawned in locations around Orgrimmar and Stormwind.  Every 15 minutes you can collect a pamphlet from one of these Doomsayers.  The 15 minute timer only counts if your character is online.  There are 12 pamphlets to collect and you get the achievement once you have collected all 12 of them.  Unfortunately they are random and so it can take quite a while to get all 12.  I did not keep a check of how many pamphlets I collected of each but my last one was Prophetic Pamphlet and I resorted to setting a 15 minute timer so I could do other things and just come back to my computer to collect the next pamphlet while watching some of the olympics.  There is a trick people have used as the timer resets if you die.  Quite a few people take off their armor and kill themselves by splatting onto the ground then res and collect another pamphlet.  The timer also resets if you do arena.  This can still take quite some time to get all 12 but is an option if you don’t want to have to sit in Orgrimmar all day.  The pamphlets themselves are regarded as trash worth 1 copper each.  You can read them before getting rid of them, they are like propaganda leaflets for the legion invasion and some are funny.

There is also a new toy available from Blax Bottlerocket in The Drag in Orgrimmar, Soft Foam Sword, and a new pet from Breanni in the Magical Menagerie shop in Dalaran (old Northrend Dalaran) Nursery Spider.
