This week saw the opening of the new raid Tomb of Sargeras and my guild planned to give it a go. We have been short of players for the past few raids although we did do Emerald Nightmare Heroic and Nighthold Normal. Still with the opening of the new raid we did not have enough players and so had to pug. Pugging is always fun! or maybe not, you can be lucky and get some good people but also there are the ones who quit after one wipe because really they just wanted to be carried through and then the ones who stick around but just suck and don't know or listen or do any of the tactics.
We have 2 tanks in the guild, one of
which is me, and this week we had 1 healer too plus several dps. And for
the first week we downed two bosses one on the first day and one the second day,
which is good progress.
This boss basically involves ranged
stacking loosely to spawn spikes (Infernal Spikes), moving away from
spikes and players when you have a green circle on you (Crashing Comet),
running behind the spikes so the ball the boss aims at you has reduced damage
by the number of spikes it hits if you are targeted with Shattering Star
(big arrow on the floor) and hiding behind the spikes when the boss does Infernal
Burning. How many pug people do you think got hit by Infernal
Burning? :)
Demonic Inquisition (Atrigan and
Belac)
This boss involved two mobs with a
shared health pool, some of the bosses’ mechanics will inflict Torment
on players. When at full torment players must Confess by clicking
the extra action button which will transport them into a cage on Belac's back
where they must hit an add to spawn red balls (Remnants of Hope)
collecting the balls reduces torment and when it is zero use the extra action
button again to leave the cage. Do not hit Belac during Fel Squall
or Atrigan during Bone Saw and if you get a purple circle (Echoing
Anguish) move out of the raid to get dispelled. We beat this boss
just before raid time after getting it to 1% on the previous pull which was
nice, plus I got loot :)
