Lunar Festival 2018

The Lunar Festival in 2018 ran from February 17th to March 3rd.  This is a holiday where ancestors are honored, coins (Coin of Ancestry) are collected and fireworks are set off.  There are various vanity items and toys available in exchange for the coins including the 3 part dragon costume from 2017 and firework schematics for engineers amongst other items.  New for 2018 were 4 flower crowns which cost 25 coins each and can be transmogged during the holiday.

The crowns are:

       Crown of Courage, Crown of Prosperity, Crown of Dark Blossoms and Crown of Good Fortune.

The coins are collected by honoring Elders located around the world.  There are 84 Elders to honor in total and they are located in Kalimdor, Eastern Kingdoms, Cataclysm zones and Northrend.  There are also Elders located inside some dungeons and wowhead has a really good guide for the location of all the Elders Wowhead Lunar Festival Guide.

There are also some achievements to get for collecting coins, honoring all the Elders in each zone, shooting off fireworks, completing the Elune's Blessing Quest and purchasing a festive dress or pant suit.  Completing all these achievements will reward the achievment To Honor One's Elders and the title Elder #name.  This achievement is part of the meta What a Long, hard Trip It's Been.
