First views of Nazjatar and Mechagon

A month has passed since the launch of patch 8.2 and the arrival of the new zones Nazjatar and Mechagon, and this is now where I spend most of my time.  Although if you are not a big raider it is worth doing the emissaries in Zandalar and Kul Tiras because the gear drops now have a base level of 415 which for me is an upgrade in some slots (ilevel of emissarys may be different based on your own ilevel I'm not sure).

In order to get flying you need to have completed the achievement Battle for Azeroth Pathfinder, Part One and the new achievement Battle for Azeroth Pathfinder, Part Two.  This includes exploring Nazjatar and Mechagon and becoming revered with the factions Rustbolt Resistance on Mechagon and in Nazjatar The Unshackled  (Horde) or Waveblade Ankoan (Alliance).

I really enjoyed Mechagon and found getting the reputation not to bad.  The zone is relatively small and easy to get around.  There are many daily quests and people are always shouting out for rares and construction projects.
In contrast I found Nazjatar frustrating.  The zone is beautiful but getting around it is difficult without flying with many levels, winding up, around and between tall rock formations and down into underground caves.  The quests are time consuming and until you know the zone hard to locate.  Particularly the very first quest I picked up Q - Requisition: We Need It All, where you need to, instead of collect 15 of something collect 1 of many things.  This has got easier as I learnt the area and got flight points but initially the dailies were so time consuming I decided to do Nazjatar and Mechagon on alternate days putting me a little behind everyone else.

First Pet Drops
Both zones have many rare spawns and these drop many vanity items including mounts, pets, toys and zone specific items, such as blueprints in Mechagon for Junkyard Tinkering.

First up Nazjatar.  Deep inside the Darkwater Cavern in the south of the zone is Blindlight (37:82) the Necrofin Chieftain.  He dropped the pet Necrofin Tadpole which is a humanoid pet and is really cute with a yellow fin and glowing green eyes.

Then to Mechagon.  Bonepicker (65:23) is a rare that can be found in a cave, Sourback Hideout near the Heaps.

He drops the pet Bonebiter which is an dragonkin pet and is also really cute.  Many of the new battle pet models look really nice.  I discovered quite by accident that there are at least two colours for Bonebiter.  The first one I got was orange but after killing him a few more times I also dropped another and this time he was yellow.

This made me think there may be multiple colours of other pet drops too, let me know in the comments if you come across any and also what were your thoughts of Mechagon and Nazjatar initially and if your views have changed now its a few weeks on.  Happy pet hunting.
