Lunar Festival 2019

The 2019 Lunar Festival runs from 28th January 2019 to 11th February 2019.  There are many toys, recipes, pets and other items to collect as well as achievements to complete for To Honor One's Elders which is part of the meta achievement What a Long, Strange Trip It's Been.

The Lunar Festival is a holiday where Ancestors of Azeroth are honored.  They are located all around Azeroth and Northrend and once honored they will  give you a Coin of Ancestry.

It was nice to see so many new toys added for just one holiday although it was quite a lot to collect. As toys are account bound I collected the coins on three different characters to get all the toys which involved quite a lot of flying about but was worth it as they look great.  I particularly like the hearthstone and currently have this as my hearthstone of choice.  I have an addon called Handynotes which shows the Elder's locations on your map and was very useful for collecting the coins.  There are four zones which have changed over the years of the conflict in Azeroth, and if you are unable to see the Elders you will need to speak to Zidormi to revert to the earlier map.  These zones are The Blasted Lands, Silithus, Tirisfal Glades and Darkshore.  Make sure to change them back to current time, at least with Silithus, or next time you go to hand in your Champions of Azeroth emissary Magni will not be there.

I hope you all managed to get these toys if you wanted to, and I am hoping that I see a long multicoloured dragon wandering around Orgrimmar at some point :)
